The outbreak of the Corona Virus (COVID-19) has caused a global concern.

In adherence to the Government directives, Iconia further seeks to create a safe working environment through collective responsibility to prevent the spread of Corona Virus.

What are the symptoms of Corona Virus?

Covid-19 symptoms include running nose, sore throat, cough and fever. The virus can be spread through bodily fluids, such as droplets in a cough.

Spread

The disease can spread further from person to person by touching surfaces an infected person has touched and transmitted through touching of hands, mouth, nose or eyes.

Symptoms

The main symptom may appear between 2 to 14 days after exposure.

Hygiene

In view of the above, we are adhering to the following hygiene practices in a deliberate effort to prevent and/or control spread of the disease:

• Washing hands with approved disinfectants especially after visiting washrooms, before eating and after blowing nose, coughing or sneezing.
• Covering coughs and sneezes with disposable tissues
• Keeping surroundings clean.
• Avoiding shaking of bare hands.

Early detection of the symptoms and treatment can contribute greatly to the survival of a patient. Seek medical advice if you develop a combination of these three symptoms or are exposed to a person with these symptoms.
